HC Deb 04 March 1971 vol 812 cc533-4W
Mr. Barry Jones

asked the Secretary of State for Wales whether he will give immediate sanction to the application for replacement of the Bangor-on-Dee Bridge, in view of the present danger to life and property and of the inconvenience to industrial traffic and the local community; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Peter Thomas

As I have already indicated in a reply to the hon. Member on 27th October, 1970, I will give immediate consideration to any application I receive for grant for a new bridge. No application has yet been made to me. I understand that a special committee of the Denbighshire County Council will be considering the matter within the next 14 days.—[Vol. 805, c. 113–14.]
