§ Mr. Ian GilmourThere is no significant difference between Army advertising in Northern Ireland and other parts of United Kingdom. The general custom is to use the Union Flag only in national newspaper advertisements arranged centrally for the Regular Army. Many Army advertisements without the Union Flag appear in newspapers published outside Northern Ireland.
