§ The Prime MinisterThe Chancellor of the Exchequer is responsible to Parliament for all Treasury business including public expenditure and economic and financial policy. He is the Minister responsible for the Inland Revenue and the Customs and Excise and is Master of the Royal Mint. He also has a number of other responsibilities, some of which are of a formal nature.
