HC Deb 01 March 1971 vol 812 cc305-6W
59. Mr. William Hamilton

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what is the estimate of redundancies among staff at Turnhouse Airport in the course of the next two years; and what consultations there have been with the appropriate trade unions on the matter.

Mr. Noble

The transfer of Turnhouse Airport to the British Airports Authority will result in about 10 staff being redun- dant. The staff associations have been consulted.

The aerodrome navigation services will continue to be provided by the National Air Traffic Control Services and no redundancies in this area are envisaged.
