§ 49. Mr. William Hamiltonasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what steps he intends to take to prevent the creation of a large special development area in Central West Scotland from affecting the ability of other parts of the country to attract new industry.
§ Mr. Anthony GrantThe new special development areas have been created to assist them secure a larger amount of mobile industry. Substantial assistance to industry is still available, however, in other parts of the assisted areas which should enable them to attract new projects and encourage the expansion of existing industry.
