§ Mr. Bishopasked the Secretary of State for Employment if, in anticipation of the operation of the Equal Pay Act, he will ensure that re-organised education and training facilities are sufficient to provide equal opportunities for women seeking entry and promotion within industry and the professions.
§ Mr. BryanIt is the purpose of the industrial training board system to secure the provision of adequate training facilities for both men and women. In particular, boards are responsible for anticipating and securing the changes that may be necessary as a result of the Equal Pay Act.
The provision of education is a matter for my right hon. Friends the Secretaries of State for Education and Science and for Scotland.
