HC Deb 23 June 1971 vol 819 c304W
Mr. Stratton Mills

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will set out the total number of staff of the United Kingdom Representative in Northern Ireland, the grades of the various people involved, and the total cost thereof.

Mr. Maudling

Two principals and two personal secretaries.

The total cost of the office in 1970–71 was about £31,000.

Changes in staffing and accommodation made it difficult to give a precise figure for the current financial year, but it is unlikely to be significantly different.
