§ Mr. GodberI would refer my hon. Friend to the speech by my right hon. Friend in the House on 9th June. U Thant's representative, Mr. I. T. Kittani, and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees have now both been to West and to East Pakistan and have had discussions with the Pakistan authorities. The United Nations' Secretary-General has issued an appeal for funds and we shall contribute as soon as immediate needs have been identified by his representatives.—[Vol. 818, c. 1066–70.]
