§ Mr. Eldon GriffithsExcellent results have been obtained by the use of gas firing in the kilns, the general introduction of which is expected to solve the problem. Technological and economic factors are involved in effecting this change throughout the industry, but the Alkali Inspectorate have been instructed to do all they can to accelerate it and I expect to see a marked improvement before long.
