asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is his estimate of the growth rate of the United Kingdom economy in 1971 compared with that of Italy.

The forecast published in the Financial Statement was that domestic output in the United Kingdom would be some 1 per cent. higher this year than in 1970. I can give no forecast for the Italian economy.
