§ Mr. Roger Whiteasked the Secretary of State for Social Services in view of the increase of maximum fines for failure to pay contributions provided in Clause 8 of the Social Security Bill, whether he will make a statement on his Department's enforcement policy, particularly as regards persons who are disqualified for receiving unemployment benefit under Section 22 of the National Insurance Act, 1965 and are not credited with contributions.
§ Sir K. JosephThere has been no change in enforcement policy: the reason for the proposed increase is simply the change in contribution values in the National Insurance scheme.
