§ Mr. Muddasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will take steps regarding the abolition, under the Housing Act, 1969, of provision for the repayment of a full improvement grant or a proportionate part of it in the case of the improved property being either used for letting as holiday accommodation, or of being sold at an increased level of profit within three years of improvement.
§ Mr. AmeryMy aim is to encourage the flow of private capital into the improvement of our older houses and from this point of view, I fear that my hon. Friend's suggestion could be counterproductive.
