Osbornasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will list in the OFFICIAL REPORT, based on latest estimates or actual costs of construction and operation, for either the largest capacity or most efficient reactors and generating plant, what are now the capital costs per kilowatt, and operating costs per kilowatt-hour, of coal fired, oil fired, and atomic power stations within the United Kingdom.
§ Sir J. EdenSuch estimates are prepared by the Central Electricity Generating Board and are, to some extent, dependent on the assumptions and definitions employed. I have therefore asked the Chairman of the C.E.G.B. to write to my hon. Friend.
