§ Q13. Mr. Chichester-Clarkasked the Prime Minister what steps he has taken to implement his undertaking to consider the arrangements for keeping the Government of Northern Ireland closely in touch with the negotiations for the accession of the United Kingdom to the European Economic Community.
§ The Prime MinisterThere is close contact between Northern Ireland and United Kingdom Departments on all matters relating to our application to join the European Communities. Northern Ireland is represented at the negotiations when matters of particular concern to the province are under consideration.
§ Mr. Elystan Morganasked the Prime Minister if he will now include the Secretaries of State for Scotland and Wales in the British team of negotiators at Brussels.
§ The Prime MinisterNo, but representatives of Departments not included in the negotiating delegation are available to take part in the negotiations as required.
