§ Mr. Clinton Davisasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food how many items of foodstuffs have now risen in price since 19th June, 1970.
§ Mr. PriorThe Retail Food Price Index is compiled by the Department of Employment from information about a very large number of different commodities. Information is however published monthly about 80 of the more important individual items. Between 16th June, 1970, and 18th May, 1971—the latest date for which information is available—67 of these items showed increases.
