§ Mr. Peter WalkerLocal authority forecasts of derelict land clearance in their areas during the calendar year 1971 are being collated, together with the other statistical material which they supply for the annual derelict land surveys. Overall figures should be available by September. Gross local authority expenditure on derelict land in England in the financial year 1970–71 was £3.4 million and is likely to be more than double the 1969–70 figure in 1971–72.
