§ 60. Mr. Scott-Hopkinsasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what the total cost of the continued research and development for the RB211 will be from 1st February to 1st August; and what extra after 1st August will be required to bring the RB211 to commencement of commercial production.
§ Mr. CorfieldThe cost of all work on the RB211 programme from early February to 8th August will be about £30 million, which the Government have undertaken to meet. As well as development, this includes production, which is already well advanced.
I have set in train a review of forward estimates.
