Following is the information:
he will make a statement concerning Government approval for the proposal of Christiania Spigerverk to build a plant for the production of steel reinforcement products in the United Kingdom; and if he will report on the discussions which he has had with the British Steel Corporation relating to the proposal.
§ Sir J. EdenThe company has been told that consent under Section 15 of the Iron and Steel Act, 1967, will be granted if it finds a site acceptable on distribution-of-industry grounds. This general policy issue was discussed with the B.S.C., but it is not consulted on individual proposals.
