§ 46. Mr. Harold Walkerasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what representations he has received from anglers' associations following his decision to permit further pollution of the River Trent by allowing into it the discharge of a lower standard of sewage effluent.
§ Mr. Graham PageThe Association have written to me about the need to make Trent water fit for re-use and recreation and in particular about the proposed decision on an appeal by the Upper Tame Main Drainage Authority against conditions imposed by the Trent River Authority for the discharge of treated effluent to the River Tame from the sewage treatment works at Minworth. I am sending the hon. Member a copy of the proposed decision on the appeal. I shall also be sending him a copy of the replv to the Association.
