§ Mr. Dempseyasked the Secretary of State for Scotland, in view of Lanarkshire Education Authority's failure to provide alternative accommodation for a schoolboy who has been excluded from his local primary school for the past four years, if he will take immediate action to provide appropriate accommodation for this young person.
§ Mr. Gordon CampbellThis is primarily the responsibility of Lanarkshire Education Authority. I understand that the authority is satisfied that this boy cannot suitably be educated in a primary school and that it has been trying to make alternative provision for him that will be satisfactory. My Department, however, is in touch with the authority and I shall write to the hon. Member.
