Mr. Sillars

asked the Secretary of State for Employment what was the total number of unemployed people in the service industries in Scotland in July.

Mr. Dudley Smith

: At 14th June, 1971, 35,456 people were registered as unemployed in Scotland who last worked in the service industries (Orders XXII to XXVII of the Standard Industrial Classification).

Information for 12th July is not yet available.
