§ Mr. Knoxasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer, from information available from international sources, what is the gross domestic product per head at factor cost in Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands for the most recent year for which figures are available ; and how these figures compare with that for the United Kingdom in the same year.
§ Mr. Higgins: The latest figures available are given in the table below, based on National Accounts 1959–69 published by the Statistical Office of the European Communities and the latest published figures for the United Kingdom. The figures have been converted from national currencies at official exchange rates which do not necessarily reflect differences in the internal purchasing power of the national currencies.
