§ Mr. Higgins: The first preliminary estimate of consumers' expenditure for the second quarter suggests that consumers' expenditure in the first six months of 1971 was about £11,730 million at 1963 prices. Actual figures of consumers' expenditure at current prices in the first half of 1971 are not yet available.
