§ Mr. Costainasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what use is being made of the Trawler Support Ship "Miranda" in the traffic survey in the English Channel.
§ Mr. Anthony GrantThe vessel is currently being used, from a number of offshore positions, to plot the movements of marine traffic in the English Channel as part of the study of traffic flows being conducted by the National Physical Laboratory. Provision for the cost of the "Miranda" has been included in the new service "Navigation in the English Channel" which was presented to Parliament in the context of the summer supplementary estimates. In the meantime application is being made to the contingencies fund.
