§ Mr. Peter ThomasThe continuing effect of the present improvements in working methods and management techniques is likely to lead next year to a fall of about 5 per cent. in the total number employed. In the two subsequent years it is estimated that the corresponding fall will be of the order of between 1 per cent. and slightly over 2 per cent.
