§ Mr. Michael HeseltineGrants of up to 75 per cent. are available under the Countryside Act, 1968, to local authorities in England and Wales for amenity tree planting in the countryside. Amenity tree planting may also attract grant when incorporated in grant aided projects such as the landscaping of principal roads, the reclamation and restoration of derelict lands, or schemes for general improvement areas.
