§ Mr. Anthony StodartBecause imports are affected not only by the level of home production, I regret that valid assessments cannot be made of the contribution of United Kingdom agriculture towards import saving as between so short a period as one year and another. The Government have provided the means for expansion and we must now await the results of this action.
