asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what action the Government are taking to implement the recommendation of the Hunt Committee that publicity should be given to the considerations determining the exercise of industrial development certificate control.

An article on the operation of the i.d.c. control has been published in the current issue ofTrade and Industry and I am arranging for copies to be placed in the Library. Copies of the article will also be available at all the Department's regional offices, and, with the assistance of industrial and local Government associations, will be circulated widely to industry and local authorities.
