In the last year, however, Centre One received approximately two million communications from taxpayers, and of these some 1,600 were classed as serious complaints to the district inspector. In the same period, the Chairman of the Board of Inland Revenue received 65 letters relating to Centre One and Ministers received somewhat under 370 letters from Members of Parliament. This represented in total one complaint for every thousand taxpayers handled in the Centre.
