§ Mr. Ian GilmourThe outstation of the Royal Aircraft Establishment at West Freugh is a ground-attack range for airborne conventional weapons and their aiming systems. It is used primarily in the research and development phases, but other trials of these systems are also carried out. About 2,000 trials of all kinds were carried out last year.
