§ Mr. Graham PageThe local authority associations were closely consulted about proposals for the rate support grants for the current year and for the two following years before the relevant rate support grant orders were made. Both the associations' views and my right hon. Friend's grant proposals were discussed during the debate on those orders on 10th December, 1970. A full statement on the associations' views can be found in their report on these orders published earlier this month.
