§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will give for the past three years details of the foreign nationals who have been allowed to settle and take up residence in the United Kingdom and for what reasons; how long it was before a decision was given in each instance; how many of these originated from Russia; what was the percentage of such claims or requests made and granted or refused; and whether he will give similar details for British citizens of the Commonwealth.
§ Mr. SharplesI would refer the hon. Member to my right hon. Friend's reply to a Question from him on 13th January. I regret that the additional information is either not available or could not be collected without an expenditure of official time that would not be justified.—[Vol. 809, c.75.]
