§ Mr. Peter ThomasSince the Regulations were amended in April, 1970, to allow local authorities to erect certain bilingual traffic signs, Merioneth County Council have notified me of their intention to implement this policy. In addition the Cardiganshire, Carmarthenshire202W and Merioneth County Councils have asked that place names might be shown bilingually on directional signs.
I have this whole subject under consideration and hope to make a statement shortly.
