§ Mr. Proudfootasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry how many producing gas wells there are in the United Kingdom and the area of the North Sea under United Kingdom jurisdiction, respectively.
§ Mr. RidleyOffshore there are 91 gas producing wells. Onshore there are none producing but two completed wells in the Lockton gas field in Yorkshire are expected to come into operation next month.
