§ Mr. Juddasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he will make a progress report on action by British representatives in the Governing bodies of the United Nations specialised agencies towards the implementation of the Jackson Report.
§ Mr. WoodBritish representatives on the governing bodies of the major Specialised Agencies have strongly supported the concept of country programming, which is the core of the Jackson proposals as endorsed by a consensus of the Governing Council of the United Nations Development Programme. Three of these bodies have formally affirmed their support for this concept.
