§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what action he has taken, or intends taking, to publicise the fact that since 1st January, 1971, traffic wardens are empowered to issue an automatic ticket fine of £2 sterling for the non-display of a current Road Fund licence; and whether he will seek to keep separate records to show the number of such cases reported and the fines imposed and/or collected for convenient stated periods.
§ Mr. SharplesMy right hon. Friend notified the Press, in the usual way, of the Parliamentary progress of the Statutory Instrument extending traffic wardens' functions. He will consider whether, for future years, he would be justified in extending the statistics available.
