§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Lord President of the Council whether he will make the necessary arrangements for the review body to be appointed to inquire into the salaries, conditions of service and pension rights of Members of Parliament to be furnished with all of the answers to various Parliamentary Questions on these subjects, giving answers which show the changing value of Members' 139W salaries, both in purchasing power and in comparison with other salaries.
§ Mr. WhitelawThe Office of Manpower Economics which will provide the secretariat to the Review Body will be fully equipped to make inquiries into all matters relevant to the Review Body's work. The Government will consider nearer the time what evidence it may wish to present to the Review Body.
