§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary State for the Home Department whether, in view of the details submitted to him by the hon. Member for West Ham, North showing that lorry owners are using their vehicles without road fund licences, insurance, and with defective tyres and mechanical parts, false number plates, and in such a way as to be dangerous to all road users, he will introduce legislation to set up a traffic law enforcement corps of retired policemen to tackle this problem.
