§ Mr. John Hallasked the Prime Minister whether he will make a further statement on the introduction of the system for regular analysis and review of public expenditure programmes referred to in the White Paper on the Reorganisation of Central Government.
§ The Prime MinisterThe Government have now approved the introducetion126W of a system of Programme Analysis and Review (P.A.R.) by Departments on lines proposed by the team of businessmen based in the Civil Service Department. The detailed procedures will be the subject of intensive study by all Departments in the coming months.
