§ Mr. Redmondasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in view of the fact that the advice of banks regarding the writing of cheques is insufficient proof against forgery, he will include a Clause in the forthcoming Finance Bill to make illegal any cheque which does not have the amount wholly in words as well as in figures.
