HL Deb 25 February 1971 vol 315 c1250WA
THE EARL OF LAUDERDALE

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether the E.E.C. transport policy proposes common tariffs for coastal and short sea shipping freight; whether, if so, this would leave the way open for non-community shipping to undercut such tariffs; and what is Her Majesty's Government's policy in this regard.

LORD DRUMALBYN

The common transport policy of the E.E.C., which requires non-discrimination and the publication of tariffs, has not so fat been applied to sea transport.

House adjourned at twenty minutes before eight o'clock.
