§ Mr. David HowellThe criteria for selecting locations for the dispersal of Government work, both under the review announced in the White Paper on the Re-organisation of Central Government (Cmnd. 4506) and when cases of dispersal48W arise apart from the review, will be chiefly those of operational efficiency and economy on the one hand, and regional policy on the other. I cannot say at this stage what areas will be chosen as locations for the dispersal of work as a result of the review.
