§ 161. Mr. Edwin Wainwrightasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will give the number of miles of road completed on the M62, and if he will make a statement on the future planning of this motorway for each of the following six years.
§ Mr. Graham PageAlmost 20 miles are in use and the 13 miles completing the Pennine section will be opened this year. The whole route between Queens Drive (Liverpool) and Ferrybridge (on the Al) is programmed for completion in stages by 1974–75. Preparation of the extension from Ferrybridge to Balkholme has not yet reached the stage when a date for its completion can be given.
