§ Mr. Graham PageThe primary responsibility for securing that enough land is available for housebuilding rests 457W with local planning authorities. They were reminded of the importance of this in my Department's Circular 10/70 issued on 14th December, 1970, and I have been having talks with the authorities in the areas where there is the greatest need for action.
§ Mr. Idris Owenasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what progress has been made towards improving cooperation between planning and housing authorities, and builders operating in their area, subsequent to the issue of his Department's Circular 10/70, Land Availability for Housing.
