§ Mr. Peter WalkerThe number of grants approved is steadily rising and as was recently stated 156,600 were approved in England and Wales in 1970 as compared with 108,900 in 1969. 115 general improvement areas have been declared up to 4th February. I hope that still better progress will be made during the present year.
