HL Deb 17 February 1971 vol 315 cc696-8WA
LORD O'HAGAN

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Why there are so many more long-term visitors from Australia and New Zealand than there are from India and Pakistan.

LORD WINDLESHAM

I cannot usefully speculate on why there should be more long-term visitors from one Commonwealth country than from another. The length of stay for which a visitor is admitted is determined by his individual circumstances.

House adjourned at nineteen minutes past eight o'clock.
