§ Mr. Roperasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science (1) if she will publish the terms of reference of the working group of the Council for Scientific policy under the chairmanship of Professor F. S. Dainton on the structure of the research councils and the functions of the University Grants Committee in relation to research;
(2) whether she intends to publish the report of the working group of the Council for Scientific Policy which is examining the structure of the research councils and the future of the University Grants Committee in relation to research;
(3) if she will make a further statement on the progress of the working group of the Council for Scientific Policy which is examining the structure of the research councils and the function of the University Grants Committee in relation to research;
(4) when she expects to receive the report of the working group of the Council for Scientific Policy which is examining the structure of the research councils and the future of the University Grants Committee in relation to research.
