asked the Chairman of Committee:

How many rooms are available for Peers, either as rest or private rooms, apart from those occupied by Ministers of the Crown, officials and Leaders in Opposition; and to which Peers the private rooms are allotted.

THE CHAIRMAN OF COMMITTEES (THE EARL OF LISTOWEL)

Seventeen private rooms are allocated to Peers as follows:—

  1. 1. M. Salisbury (Ex-Leader).
  2. 2. E. Longford (Ex-Leader).
  3. 3. L. Silkin (Ex-Deputy Leader).
  4. 4. Civil Defence Room (Used by L. Fraser of Lonsdale).
  5. 5. L. Nugent of Guildford (Chairman of the Refreshment Department Committee).
  6. 6. L. Strang (Leader Independent Peers).

Eleven rooms are allocated to individual Law Lords.

In addition to the rooms occupied as shown above, by officials and by Peers ex officio there are six rooms, with desks, allocated to the Parties and the Independent Peers.
