§ Mr. Bishopasked the Prime Minister if it his policy to end discrimination against women in education, the professions, industry, the law, and in other ways; and if he will set up a commission to investigate and ensure equality between men and women and to make recommendations as to how this objective may be achieved within two years.
§ The Prime MinisterI would refer the hon. Member to the answer I gave on 11th February to a question by my hon. Friend the Member for Tynemouth (Dame Irene Ward). I do not believe that to set up a commission would be the most helpful course.—[Vol. 811, c. 256.]
