§ Mr. AmeryI have received a few letters proposing changes in the rateable value limits relating to dwelling which are protected under the Rent Act, 1968. The replies have referred to the need to give security of tenure and to prevent excessive rents in those parts of the private rented sector where shortages of accommodation exists, and to the work of the Francis Committee.
